ABOUT ME

Hello, Hej, hola! My name is Sterling and I am a very laid back Californian whose goal it is to meet new and interesting people, travel to new places and have awesome adventures. I love trying new things and will never say no to anything. If you want to backpack for three days through a rain forest or a club crawl through downtown Chile I'm down.

PHILOSOPHY

For me travel is about experiencing a culture the way people who live there do, growing as a person is getting outside your bubble.

I'm new to couch surfing but have many friends who have recommended it and I'm excited to meet other people out there like them.

It's been awesome so far and I have meet many people who have traveled the world round.

Interests

Sports- soccer, racquetball, surfing. Anything that gets your blood pumping while hanging out with friends.
Movies- any chance I can to see new movies whether it's action or comedy I love sitting down and relaxing with a movie.
Adventure- if your looking to try something new but want a friend to go with I'm the guy to call. From Salsa dancing to spoken word festivals - I'm there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: any I'm not picky, as long as the couch is comfy.
Music- I tend toward more bluegrass, Mumford and sons and alternative music. But I still love dancing to club/pop music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked in the New Mexico wilderness for 10 days and climbed to the top go Mount Baldy. Being above the clouds with only the sun on top of you was the most relaxing and peaceful moment I have experienced.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have camped over 150 night outdoors and would love to show you tips and tricks for setting up a camp, cooking some delicious food or kicking a ball around.
