About Me

Hi! My name is Steve. I come from Dallas, Tx. I am currently a student and own my own business right now. To pay for immediate fees I am also a waiter. This allows me to have flexible hours and earn a living income. I enjoy going out to new places like restaurants, nightclubs, and museums. I enjoy new experiences and would like to try some things once just to have them in my repertoire of life experiences. I am a very neat, quiet, and caring person. I devote my time to school work and building my business. I'm traveling the world to figure out the best and hottest trends so that I may incorporate these into my business. If it's my first time at a place I might be there strictly for business but if I seem to like the place then the next time I'm sure to be there for pleasure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm couchsurfing because I saw an advertisement on a persons laptop at work as a waiter. I didn't know what this was and decided to look it up. I looked it up and saw that it was a website where you can invite people into your home and stay for an unspecified amount of time. I, being a reasonable and sound person do believe that people, including myself, can overstay their welcome and try to avoid that by being polite, friendly and brief. I remember when I was in Miami for a convention for my business and I didn't have enough money because my airline took it out at the last minute. I didn't have enough money to go to the convention and I didn't have enough to get a room. Miami is so expensive! I slept outside for the three days I was there. Unlike Texas, Miami is consistent with there weather pretty much year round so it wasn't too uncomfortable. I'm just glad that for those three days it did not rain a single drop. After that experience I was determined to not let a situation like that deter me from vacationing further. The whole of the experience was better than the few snags that the trip brought along. I traveled to New York, North Carolina, Washington D.C. just to get used to traveling. Now I feel that I am ready to start traveling globally. Europe is my first overseas trip alone and then the year after would be Brazil. I want to travel to each continent just to get a jist of the world a little better instead of staying in this secluded, media-influenced country we call the United States of America. I want to be able to think for myself and have my actions speak for what I am trying and inevitably going to do.

Interests

My interests would be getting in shape by jogging and learning more about the business world. I like to learn more and more so I may be able to get ahead and do more for myself. Hopefully with this knowledge I would be able to have my hard work literally pay off.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to share that I like to shop, party, and have fun. I also would love to listen to stories about the region and tips and tricks of getting around the place. I hang out with many different people so little things don't too much offend me when talking about my race, region, religion, economic well-being, social status, and anything else you can think about. You can ask me anything right now but I might take a few seconds to respond because of the fact that I don't want to be offensive in any way. By the way, I am African American, from the U.S.A., unorthodox Christian, upper lower class, and in my mind am an average guy but can see people regard me as a major influence in their lives.
