Sobre mí

I am 33 and enjoy an active lifestyle, I love being outdoors and exploring new territories. I am a keen sportsman and train pretty hard for triathlons and ironman events. Cycling is a big passion so wherever I travel I always hire a bike and take to the roads on long rides.

I have recently left behind The Premier League in London where I worked as an accountant for nearly six years to embark on a two year travelling extravaganza. I'm currently travelling the east coast of Oz having first landed in China. NZ & Philippines await and then I fly to Canada late February for 10 weeks before starting my next adventure in Latin America.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I think it's a great way to immerse yourself within a culture very quickly whilst meeting likeminded people. I like the idea of it being a two way street with both the host and the hostee wanting to meet someone from a different country and culture and broaden their horizons.

Intereses

I am lucky because I feel passionate about many many things. These include;

Many genres of music, disco, soul, funk, house, rock, indie, reggae and many more - Spotify is genius!

Food - I love all food and find it difficult to think of anything I don't like. One of the most exciting aspects of travelling is sampling the local produce

Sport and fitness - big football fan but generally enjoy all sports. Trying to master surfing right now so by the time I get to Philippines and Latin America I will have it locked down and will be pumping!

I train between 2 and 3 hours a day, 5 days a week to compete in Ironman events. This is a big part of my life and keeping on top of it whist travelling is a challenge I want to overcome

Travelling - I feel pretty restless without a trip on the immediate horizon. Luckily I don't have to worry about that for a couple of years!

Algo increíble que he hecho

This is a toughie, it would be easy to list a whole raft of things but I think attending Burning Man stands out as one of the most amazing things I have experienced. I think about it almost every day and the principles it promotes resonate with me daily. That is one very powerful experience! I look forward to sharing this with my friends and family for many years to come.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I have been having Spanish lessons in preparation for my Latin America trip. Would always been keen to do a bit a practice with my host if the opportunity arose.

As a keen chef I would most certainly cook up some traditional English fare!

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I feel I could share many things with my hosts, from music to recipes and even training tips if this was of interest.
