About Me

CURRENT MISSION

explore and imagine :)

ABOUT ME

I love to explore the world and connect with people, discover different cultures and communities. I love to surf (waves and couches) when I can, plus go into the wild when i get the chance. Recently, I try to travel as much as I can without flying - so I'm seeing lots of Europe :) slow travel is great

Home is a narrow boat (canal boat) that is constantly on the move. It's small so there's not really enough room to fit anyone else in, plus, maybe at a push.

PHILOSOPHY

Another World is possible!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Started a long time on CS, but it did not work too well in Vietnam - due to you need police permission to have foreign visitors. So I forgot about it for ages, until hitching Finland to UK 2013, which was really cool.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2013 hitch from Finland to UK. Two fantastic couch-hosters (Germany/ Belgium)

After that meet a few people in London and showed them around :)

More recently, visited Catalonia and the annual climate conference in Bonn, on part-journalism trips that were also about finding out about the places, and staying with amazing locals.

More recently again, meet some great cs-ers going through Baltic states and Poland

I live on a small boat moving around London at the moment - so unfortunately there is very little space to host. But a few couch surfers have visited the boat to find out how it all works.

Surfed the same wave as a dolphin

Teach, Learn, Share

Taught lots of mates to surf (waves),
Really interested in bottom-up democracy, intersectional politics, autonomous struggles, democratic confederation, radical municipalism
Would love to learn to handglide, make a fire from scratch, nearly did this once although only made smoke,
Share: anything and everything

What I Can Share with Hosts

Really interested in how another world is happening, and have been researching direct democracy and ecological alternatives - so can share ideas and really keen to listen and learn more.
I can cook a good Spanish omelette
