About Me

Professional geek, wanna-be jock, and occasional artist. I'm pretty active and adventurous, and versatile -- I can blend-in and enjoy a lot of activities and different surroundings. I like living in the city with all that has to offer, but also love to get away to rough it in the great outdoors. All for seeing new places and new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've traveled a bit on my own, and while I've never couch surfed, I've often met cool people along the way. This seems like the way to really travel -- meeting real people in their town or turf. Conversely if I host it'll be an opportunity to show off my town or at least give somebody a jump start at exploring a place I love. :)

Interests

Lots... I'm a competitive dragon boat racer, and play volleyball, hockey, and soccer. Love almost anything outdoors... camping, canoeing, hiking, skiing, etc. And I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie at times... sky diving, scuba diving, bungee jumping, surfing, etc. Also interested in politics, current events, etc... wouldn't be hard to get me into a discussion on any of the so-called taboo subjects: sex, religion, or politics. ;) I'm also a big fan of good wine and craft beer... self-confessed beer and food snob.
