About Me

[I will not throw money at Couchsurfing just to be able to verify myself - we can do that for free if you wish by just asking me for any identification :) ]

Hello there! I'm Steve and want to get back into the couchsurfing thing as both host and guest after I offered my couch many years ago when I was still a student.

I'm spending most of my time working as a teacher for biology, history and music. I pursue some hobbies, mainly creative and nerdy stuff to keep my brain busy. And of course travelling across the world - that's what I'm here for :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to discover new places and hope to find some places to stay around the world via Couchsurfing. One of the greatest things about travelling is diving into the foreign culture and meet many interesting people to share experiences and opinions with to broaden my own horizon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always find it hard to list favorite music, movies, books, games, whatever. There is a lot I like, some that I really love and also much to dislike. But it is always a great start to a conversation to ask "What do you think of that movie?" or "What book are you currently reading?" etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always glad to learn about the history of the place/city/country I visit. Furthermore I'm interested in some specialities of the regional flora and fauna. And more importantly I want to feel the "taste" of the region - some of the special foods and beverages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am living in a region of Leipzig that is pretty lively but not as annoying as the typical party areas in the south. So there is a lot to discover - whether it is a good place to have a drink, some place to eat fancy food, a venue to see a concert, etc. I have a lot of friends in Leipzig with many different interest - it never gets boring here :)
