Overview
About Me
Hey guys, I'm Steve. I grew up on a farm outside of Hastings, New Zealand. I have just finished an exchange at Lund, Sweden and I will be travelling Europe from June to November 2019 on a bicycle.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a student, I do not have very much money so I'm trying to see Europe on a budget. I'm really excited to meet all kinds of different people from across Europe, hang out, party and see how they live their lives. It seems to be the best way to to meet new people.
Interests
My studies have tended towards the environmental side so I love discussing environmental issues and solutions. I've been involved in volunteering organisations, comedy shows and I even started a Beerpong club at university.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love 60s and 70s music like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Supertramp etc. My favourite movies are the Lord of the Rings (obligatory for a Kiwi) I also love the books. I read a lot of fantasy as well as biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled to Nepal when I was in high school. We flew into Lukla airport (the steepest airport in the world) and trekked for a week through the Himalayas. We visited many villages and provided hand knitted clothes and medical supplies. One day we spent harvesting corn for a local farmer. It was awesome.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hope I can share some interesting stories and perspectives from New Zealand and abroad. And of course, everyone is welcome to stay at my house once I return back to NZ.
