About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get out, enjoy & discover.

ABOUT ME

Quite easy going I suppose... a drummer and music-enthusiast - after a masters in geology at Cardiff uni, I moved to Iceland for a year, embraced the couchsurfing mentality, meeting new friends and exploring new areas. Since then, I've been living and working in North Wales, currently based in Conwy. Always keen to see and do new things, and meet new and interesting people, especially since living and working in Reykjavik, exploring Iceland and meeting some great people! The world is open to me now, and I can't wait to see where I end up next!

PHILOSOPHY

*Looks thoughtful*...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My housemates have hosted Couch Surfers for the last 8 years or so, so I've got to meet a lot of people and have some interesting chats this way! I've been on many trips with visitors to Reykjavik, all fun & interesting, making up for the fact I couldn't host there :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first "official" couch surfing was in Isafjordur, and it was becuase of this that I got to meet some awesome people and have a great week, rather than being stuck in a hostel room! Various day trips since. Would definitely do it over and over again.

Interests

I´m a musician (well, drummer), love watching and playing all kinds of live music, as well as listening and teaching. Enjoy a good hike in all weathers (I´m used to it!), seeing new places and trying new things! Enjoy surfing, football and tennis, and sciencey stuff too! Recently I've got into cycling and running. And all the time, photography...

Music, Movies, and Books

Loads. Why list?!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best thing I have ever done was to live in Iceland. It's an amazing cultural and natural experience. Erm... Felt an earthquake? Played to and with some big name musicians...? I think I've done and seen a lot so far, but I don't doubt that it'll be dwarfed by other peoples' experience, and hopefully by more of my own in future!
