About Me

CURRENT MISSION

embrace the chaos down under

ABOUT ME

Independent and creative thinker, lives for endless possibilities. Excited by new ideas, and love to meet new people. I think it's cool to get to understand the motivations and ambitions of others.

Optimistic, enthusiastic, adventurous, resourceful, open-minded, easy going! Analytical by nature, but compassionate and kind; love to help others solve their problems.

Comfortable with new experiences, situations, and social settings. Friendly guy and easy to get along with!

Went to uni and studied earth sciences, it was interesting but now i'm tired of school and not too sure what I want to do. I'm heading to the other side of the world because I want to see some cool shit, meet awesome people, and experience new things.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't let shit that doesn't matter take over your life, if you stop having fun then what's the point? Be open minded and question what's in front of you, come up with your own view of the world. Be considerate and help others out, treat everyone with respect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently travelling Australia for a year! Living in Melbourne for a few months at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience has been great. A room in the house became available for rent, and I have moved in with my current hosts as a result.

Interests

I tend to think in terms of future happenings, but what I do on a day to day basis changes depending on what i'm interested in at the time. I can get really excited about the things i'm into. Good at coming up with plans of action, but they change quickly and constantly.. not a big fan of routine. I like to see where my imagination takes me.

Really enjoy hanging out with friends, whether it be adventuring, having cool discussions, partying, etc. Socializing and having fun with other people is what pumps me up.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love a good read, though I have a habit of jumping from book to book before I finish any one.. I have two on the go right now. Favorites include Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury), Atlas Shrugged (Ayn Rand), Oryx and Crake (Margaret Atwood), Fifth Business (Robertson Davies). Anything with time travel.. and I love a good mystery.

Movies: Fight Club, American Beauty, Donnie Darko, Inception, Lost in Translation, Kill Bill

Tv Shows: Breaking Bad, LOST, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, South Park, Dexter

Huge music enthusiast, really appreciate artists that are innovative and creative; I love to be surprised when listening, almost like when a track goes in a direction that you never would have expected. I listen to a serious amount of electronic/funk and a lot of indie rock but I'm open minded and always on the lookout for a new band/producer to support. Big fan of: Death From Above 1979, Siriusmo, Justice, Tame Impala, Daft Punk, Breakbot, Django Django, Cut Copy, Digitalism, Phoenix, Mustard Pimp, Deerhunter.. I could go on and on. Drop me some funk and i'll dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This sounds ridiculous but myself and about 20 others all saw what we believed to be a UFO.. I had a party at my place a few years back and someone noticed a huge object zooming around, changing colours, and hovering up and down in the sky.. everyone ran onto the deck freaking out because we just couldn't explain it. It remains a mystery..

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm into a lot of weird and awesome music that I love to get people listening to. I've lived in Canada all my life so I have lots of stories. I consider myself a good person to have meaningful discussions with.
