ABOUT HOSTING

Hospitality is one great thing in all countries in the world and this is a platform that promotes this unique concept which is great.

However, I think hosting is also about cultural sharing. Call me egoistic, but I prefer to surf somebody's couch because I want to learn more about the host and not because I want to feel like in a hostel. So sharing the couch with some other fellow travelers is not really something I prefer. At least, hosts should inform guests if there might be other travelers coming as well.

I participate by offering my couch whenever I have time (at the moment I´m kind of busy with several projects) but would love to meet new people to show them around Vienna!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies with profound meanings and cultural messages. I love directors like Cuaron ("Great Expectations"), Tornatore ("Cinema Paradiso", "Baaria"), Visconti ("Death in Venice", "The Damned"), Alan Parker ("Evita") and many others!
I prefer a variety of books (scientific ones, biographies, novels like Jules Verne, Stephen King etc.), but I'm a slow and concentrated reader, so I can't read as much as I'd want to! ;)
I am a hobby writer and currently working on a screenplay with a junior producer.

Screenwriters with an interest in historic melodramas and biopics are invited to share experiences with me!! :))

I love different kinds of music, with a foible for the 80s (highly unusual for some!), Michael Jackson, Erasure, Nobuo Uematsu (I play the piano.)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

+ Walking 30km on Lefkas Island, Greece, to reach a fantastic solitary beach on Dec 24.

+ Visited a Buddhist shrine in Kyoto, Japan, at midnight.

+ Stayed overnight in a nice old caravansaray in Seki, Azerbaijan.

+ Traveling alone through Morocco and Libya and meeting warm and friendly people.

+ A camel ride in the Sahara (Tunisia) on December 25.

+ Written a screenplay (historic drama) that is waiting to become a movie!!

+ Watched the starry sky on a ferry boat Italy-Malta (36 hours on sea).

+ Living and studying at the "end of the world" - in Sydney, Australia.

+ Climbing Franz Josef Glacier in New Zealand. An amazing, stunning and unforgettable experience for me!

+ All hospitality and kindness I have experienced, every rewarding smile I have enjoyed.
