About Me

Young ambitious traveler who wants to see the world and meet all the interesting characters in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet people from all walks of life and experience where they are from.

Interests

Anything Outdoors! Hiking, Camping, Bicycling, Fishing, Kayaking, Paddle Boarding, Running, beginner Yoga, Meditating.
I also enjoy all sports I grew up playing Basketball, Football and Baseball. Favorite teams are the Cubs, Bulls and Bears.
I like to do things at random and wander around. It's always fun going to a new city/town and just walking around getting a feel for everything.
I enjoy good conversations about life and other peoples adventures. Where they've been and what they recommend. I love taking advice from other people, I feel like I can always learn something new from someone else no matter who it is.

The list goes on..

Favorite Movies : Matrix, Fight Club, The Revenant, Zoolander, Grandmas Boy, Old School, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Dark Knight, etc. etc.

Tv Shows: House of Cards, Parks and Rec, Dual Survival, Alaskan Bush People

Books: Current book I'm reading is "Paddle Your Own Canoe" by Nick Offerman the man you may know as Ron Swanson from Parks and Rec. I also enjoy books on early Native Americans and some fictional books here and there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I thru hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2015 with my girlfriend. I never camped a day in my life nor attempted anything like it, I really wanted to see what I was capable of. We met a ton of awesome people on and off the trail and learned a bunch about ourselves along the way! It was definitely the best trip of my life so far. I came to an understanding how little we truly need to live and be happy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would really like to learn more about outdoor survival skills. Anything from Bushcraft to Primitive survival.
I also want to learn how to play guitar or Uke.
I've recently taken up wood carving, I whittled my own wooden pipe. (I don't smoke btw.) It's fun taking on new disciplines and seeing what one can create with their own hands.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge on the Appalachian Trail and how to go about hiking it. I can also recommend gear to use and how to budget.
I'm also very knowledgeable about Sports and always up for a pick up game of basketball, or even tossing a baseball or football around.
