ABOUT ME

I'm out of college and living on my own in a small town USA now. Kind of lonely around here sometimes so it'd be cool to meet some wandering folk.

I work with the local newspaper in town as a county government reporter. Doesn't sound exciting but it has its moments.

I admit, I'm also a creative writer, and if this whole couch-surfing thing turns out to be cool, it could spawn me taking down details about your lives and your journeys for some sort of travel-book in the future. I'd love to keep in contact with people too to see how your greater journey goes and find out where you headed after hitting my link in the chain.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm pretty satisfied with the day to day stuff in life. I just take it easy - I'm one of those happy-go-lucky type people. If you're cool with who you are, I'm cool with who you are. Don't act like a douche and I won't treat you like one. That's how I live.

Someday I figure I'll find the grand scheme and have a mission or some goals, but for right now I'm just pretty content with taking it a day at a time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well let's see, I've got a love seat and a good recliner and an air mattress that people could crash on (so technically I don't have a *couch,* heh).

If you swing by my town for coffee or a beer or two that's cool. Otherwise feel free to crash at my place. If you're staying for the evening and you come around dinner time, I'll treat you to some killer Mexican food at the place in town.

Even if you're passing through my town, my place is open to stop for a bathroom break or a shower or to grab some drinks (providing that I'm home and actually have something in my fridge).

So yeah, feel free to swing by.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm a total newb. I just heard about it from this girl I was out with (who had couchsurfed some in the USA and in Ireland and hosted folks before) and thought it was cool so I'll give it a shot.

Hell, I need some more adventure in my life.

She did tell me a story about some people who stopped in her place and brought them some nasty Boone's Farm wine. So if you bring some Boone's Farm it will make me laugh, or I may give you a bottle to pass off to the next stop you make.

Interesses

I'm a creative writer so I love that. I'm also a gamer and love waste hours doing that. I'm huge into Lord of the Rings and just watching movies in general. I also like to hit the courts and shoot some hoops.

Music: NOT rap, metal, country, or pop. Anything else is cool - except Coldplay and U2, they suck.

Book: A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin, anything Tolkien, Dune series by Frank Herbert, Inheritance Trilogy by Christopher Paolini, Wayfarer Redemption series by Sara Douglass (in other words, fantasy, because I'm a nerd)

I'm lame. My life lacks adventure. I wish I had something cool to put here, but I really don't, sigh.

I have an unusual and perhaps frightening love and knowledge on Lord of the Rings. Likewise, I also seem to know a lot about the medieval world.

I also consider myself to be fairly educated on *how* to write. Unfortunately I'm unable (well perhaps too hesitant) to get anything published.

And I'm fairly confident that I could talk about Seinfeld until I die of exhaustion and starvation.

I do tend to know a lot of random crap about a lot of random stuff. So who knows, I'm sure we'll connect.
