About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life, explore the world, see life through other lenses.

ABOUT ME

I love adventure and the outdoors, camaraderie, laughter, climbing, biking, running, surfing, camping, cooking and recently Spanish. It's like I just noticed the large large land masses south of the U.S. I've traveled a little to Costa Rica and Guatemala and am starting to realize that there's a lifetime of opportunity to the South and I think learning Spanish is key to unlocking the full opportunity and traveling the way I like to travel.

What else? I grew up surfing, swimming, water polo and beach lifeguarding in San Diego and now I love to visit the ocean whenever I can. I've been an avid rock and ice climber for about 18 years now, and have climbed around the U.S, sport climbing, technical trad climbing, alpine climbs, big walls, ice, mixed, bouldering...I think that's it. I love my home state of Colorado for all the beauty and adventure that it offers. What colorado lacks in beaches it definitely makes up for in mountains!

Hmm... I'm a health nut and generally don't eat meat or diary, except when I travel or when it's connected to a cultural experience... or when I'm really, really hungry, or when fish taco's are around and made with locally caught fish.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too long to not take chances. Their's plenty of time to get over the one's that don't work out, and the ones that do create a lifetime of great memories. People make all the difference in our lives, which are mostly made up of little moments strung together. Everyone is a little bit right, and everyone is a little bit wrong. I'd rather have fun and make friends and learn someone's perspective than try to make someone think like I do. Everyone has something valuable to say and our fates on this planet are all connected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couch surfing but I love the idea and many friends of mine have had great experiences. Currently my house is over capacity, but I do live in a great place, in a historic neighborhood, right against the mountains in Boulder Colorado. I hope to host couch surfers soon!
