Chi sono

I am teacher who is passionate about the environment, history and economy. I am interested in co-operatives, socialism, new ways to work and how to create new opportunities for community and development that are good for both people and planet.

I live in a small housing co-operative, we have a shop and office next door to your home where three of us live.

Musica, film e libri

Apocalypse now is probably the best film ever made, its hard watch but nothing like this will ever be made again. It is warning of the horros of war, of colonialism and of misguided interference in other countries. Many lessons to be learned today!

i have a thing for Englsih gangster movies, Sexy Beast, Performance, Layer Cake, Long Good Friday. Generally I like movies with actual acting, characters and dialogue I hate CGI action movies in general.
Books, too many to mention Anna Karenina, 1984, Permaculture designers manual, A Bend in the River...

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I built my own house when I was 27 and lived in it for a couple of years, in the mountains of Zimbabwe. I had 2 cows and milked them every day by hand, making my own cheese and selling it at the gate. This was the start of my permaculture journey and the experience set me up to do many more things along the same libes

Insegna, impara, condividi

I know a lot about co-operatives, alternative finance, permaculture, community development and am happy to share my knowledge. I am also a keen grower, am fascinated by soil and compost.

I am very focused on the climate crisis and am also a local activist promoting community led responses to the try and protect wildlife and biodiversity.
