About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Social Justice

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm from the Seattle area, vegetarian (mostly vegan), and plan to study Social Work at UCC in Ireland. I've spent a lot of time traveling and hope to do much more. I've lived abroad in short stretches and enjoyed that very much. I have a wide-open sense of humor and desire to help people and animals in need.

PHILOSOPHY

Live Life, Respect Life, Protect Life. That says it all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I'm still in the States', I would be happy to host someone in need of a place to stay for a few days if Seattle is in the plans. The city is an hour ferry ride from Bremerton, where my home is. Always open for giving tips and advice and enjoy simply meeting up with travelers as well for dinner or a drink.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to this site, but I've helped travelers and been helped many times in many places. Member of Hospitality Club. Never had a bad experience!

Interests

My interests apart from traveling and experiencing other cultures, is mostly music. I attempt to play drums and guitar, enjoy going to shows. Also keep proactive with human and animal rights issues. Especially human trafficking. Not a huge sports fans, but sometimes enjoy going to games. I do like croquette a lot! And cooking for/with people. I can prove vegan and vegetarian cuisine is just as good or better than anything else!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Unholy Trinity, I Live Here
Movies: Revenge of the Nerds, Band of Brothers, Lilya 4-Ever
Music: The Beatles, The Jam, Bad Brains, Descendents, Agent Orange, Dinosaur Jr, Down By Law, and a million others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering. I was able to help some really good NGO's and learn a lot in the process. At the same time, I saw some beautiful and horrific place, and seen some beautiful smiles all around the world. I've traveled through most of Western and Northern Europe, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Czech Rep, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Russia in the East. Korea, Japan, Thailand, Burma, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. Maybe 40 countries total?

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a lot of experience researching and working on social justice issues. There are a lot of situations where people only see what is on the surface. I might be able to help people be more understanding of social welfare situations. I continue to learn more on how people end up in dire circumstances and how to help them. I've spent a year doing volunteer work in several places around the world and hope to do more.
