I like to think I'm easy going and a bit laid back. I may come across as shy sometimes—I think I'm not. If you want to know anything, ask away! I'll more than happy to answer. However, if I don't like something, I'll be straightforward about it.

I think changing how others see Latin America, specifically Colombia, has become my mission to an extent. No, haven't watched Narcos and don't intend to. Colombia is way much more than what you see on there, trust me. Will be happy to go further on the subject if you like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had heard of CS a long time ago, but as I didn't travel much I decided not to join in but always kept it in mind. I'm planning on going abroad here and there and meeting people is great, specially when it comes to traveling so here I am!

Interests

Language learning has become a hobby of mine over the years. Ask me anything about it and you'll have a whole lot of nerdy talk on the subject. I enjoy writing and reading as well. I like photography as I grew up having cameras around the house and have some experience using editing programmes such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

Movies... I like them but don't watch them as often. Popular cultural reference? Nope. Controversial? Nope. Cheeky films? Even less so. Sorry to disappoint.

I specialise in adult learning and language acquisition. Have worked as a teacher for 2 years and I enjoy it. I like learning as well. There are a lot of things that interest me or I'm curious about, and I want to know the why and how of everything around me. Guess my thirst for knowledge is unquenchable, huh.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like cooking and can prepare a couple of things. Promise I'm way past the point of food poisoning. Learnt the hard way. lol
I like to talk about a lot of things and will even encourage a healthy discussion, byzantine or not, about said topic. Even if we don't come to a conclusion, I believe listening to others' opinions can broaden our perspective and even challenge and change it.
