About Me

Here we are again. How long has it been? A lifetime? Maybe more? I am a passive obstructionist this time. Anyway, I love deep conversation. It’s all I want out of life at the moment. I feel that everyone has a little bit of this life mastered and I want to know what their path is like. I love to listen to the experience of others because there is always something I can apply to my life.

PHILOSOPHY

I am but a character in a play that’s already been written. There is a deep meaning in everything everyone says and does.

Side note: Recently Resigned from a 15 year career for a lot of reasons. Now its time to travel without any restrictions on time. As they say, time is the most valuable resource any of us have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve couch surfed plenty, but not on this website. So happens that the universe sent me a few of its beautiful people who steered me here. One thing that I’ve noticed is that we couch surfers are different. Our arms are wide open. The few couch surfers that I’ve met have changed my perspective on many things and I don’t want to stop growing. Overall, I don’t want to change anyone! This seem like the best way to practice appreciating people for who they are. You do you. “I ain’t mad at cha, got nothin but love for ya” -Tupac Shakur

Interests

Everything. I love to try new things, new foods, and meet new people. I love anything I don't know. I’m a big fan of stories. We all have so many. I love how relevant the world around us is. It brings up stories when observing. I guess I like people watching with others. Just sitting in public and observing how what we are witnessing is relevant to our lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ive never been much of a book lover till about 6 years ago when my perspective was flipped on its head. Since I’ve read more than I have in my whole life. It started in the self-help section, but soon branched into an array of different subjects like Stoic Philosophy, human behavior, neuroscience, self reflection, etc. Big Sam Harris fanboy. What I really love about books is the window into another persons heart. Seems like all books are is perspective which is what I love about meeting new people. I love electronic type music the most, about 120-130 bpm, but I really love it all. I just need something to dance to. It wasn’t always like this. But I’ve acquired new ears. Seems like even things I’ve heard hundreds of times sound so much more relevant.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw my own shadow, perhaps it was death. This I do not know. It wasn’t easy and was at times somewhat terrifying, but I wouldn’t take it back. I’ve learned so much about myself. I couldn’t go back if I wanted. Like a river, that shore has passed. Sure I can get out and hike back, but that’s not progress.

Teach, Learn, Share

Always looking to learn about other perspectives. It’s the only way I can expand mine. I’ve been working with my hands my whole life and have learned to love it. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’ve helped build houses and schools, and remodeled plenty of the two. I’ve worked with tradesmen for as long as I’ve been working and I’ve never stopped learning or asking questions. Maybe you have a project that seems daunting and you feel like the only way your going to get it done is with an army. Let’s turn that into little manageable projects and get this ball rolling.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Eye am unconditional love. I can show you what I mean, but it’s hard to explain in words. I am a useful person and love to help. I love being here and now, and I’m trying to spread my happiness as far and as wide as I can. Can you help me?
