Overview
About Me
After 15 years or more of living, travelling and learning abroad, largely in the French Alps and Spanish Andalusian mountains i'm back in the UK and have lived in the same place for 4 years now. 18 months was my record before that and 3 months wasn't uncommon before i moved on to the next job or village to explore. So life has changed a little but the type people i meet seem to have stayed the same which is nice. I have worked as a MTB guide, outdoor instructor, cycle courier and mechanic, organic farm worker, live in care worker, care worker at a crisis centre for foster children, ski technician, airport taxi transfer driver, doping controller for athletes amongst many other things. After spending 3 years home bound while dealing with Chron's disease through diet and pro-biotics i am back in the world again but have now accepted that the quieter life suits me more these days.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is something i should have done for along time. Previously my life style meant that i have 'hosted' many travellers and people i had yet to know as well as been put up by people i had only just met. For years i have lived and worked in different communities in Europe, Canada and India, often hitchhiking and 'couch-surfing' while travelling about, without ever needing to use coachsurfing.com as things have just fallen in to place each time. I love the idea of being able to share with friends, new or old and i see the possibilities open up when connecting through the web to other like minded people.
