I'm a 26 year old from Massachusetts, United States. I've been living in Madrid, Spain since August 2016 and am an English teacher in a primary school. I have traveled around much of Spain and Europe since I arrived in Madrid, as moving here has opened my eyes to many different cultures and experiences while being an ex-pat. Once I started traveling, I haven't been able to stop! I try to spend most of my holidays and free time traveling to new places, but sometimes a city or country has captivated me so much that I have gone back there too! I love seeing new places, but I also love meeting new and cool people from all across the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join Couchsurfing to see what all the hype is about. I have never used this platform before, but from friends and traveling acquaintances I have heard many good things about this experience. Some people have told me they have received unbelievable hosts who have gone from strangers to friends from Couchsurfing, as that is something that greatly appeals to me. This is definitely something I would like to try out for myself, and I am excited to be joining the Couchsurfing community!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the Game of Thrones books and show, I could talk about them for days. I really enjoy almost any kind of music, but I listen to many different types of electronic music most often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friend from home came to visit me in July 2018, and we spent a week in Lisbon, Portugal. We rented vespas for 24 hours and decided to drive around the city and surrounding areas. I had never driven a vespa before, but it was an incredible experience. We drove along the coast of Portugal and stopped along many beaches and small towns on our way to Sintra, Portugal. Driving along the country and looking out on the Atlantic Ocean next to us was incredible, but to drive the vespas to a small town with amazing castles and breathtaking nature as well was something I will never forget.
