About Me
Hi, This is Steven from China.
I had three dreams when I was in university: being a journalist, doing a startup, and working in an NGO. Even though they seemed independent of each other, they shared the same destination: exploring myself and the world. Luckily, I've become a journalist since graduation, mainly covering business and financial news. Occasionally, I do investigative reports on corruptions, which is definitely exciting.
I like backpacking as it's not only a travelstyle but also a lifestyle. I want to be hosted as a couchsurfer in a new city and vice versa. Everyone is welcome to be my guest. It's not necessary to write me a personalized request as it might cost some time. Just be honest with yourself, and keep my flat clean :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
- Don't want to live in my own world all my life.
- Willing to meet people from diverse backgrounds and to share my space.
Interests
Hobbies have evolved over the past few years:
- When I was a student, I liked running, hiking, biking and swimming. I had kept running almost every day for six years since 15.
- I practised dancing for two years, mainly Chinese classical dancing. It was a good chance to learn about how to control every piece of muscle and the rhythm of my body.
- Gym and Yoga have been my hobbies for several years, one for building strength, while the other for stretch, relaxation and meditation.
- Documentaries. They offer a more real insight of the world than commercial films.
- Singing. It's more than a hobby. It's my strength :)
