Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have traveled all over Europe, lived in Bath, England for six months and spent many nights on friends' couches while abroad. It was an amazing experience and love being able to do the same for other travelers! It's a big world, why not explore it?

Music, Movies, and Books

I have been a drummer for 12 years (don't worry, I do not play acoustic drums when I have guests) and grew up in New Orleans so I like a lot of different music. Mostly funk, jam bands, and edm but I listen to all genres.

Some of the festivals I frequent or have been to include: Wakarusa (5x), Electric Forest, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits, SXSW, Euphoria, Nocturnal, Lights All Night.

I am also a huge cinephile, frequent the Alamo Drafthouse Theatre and usually work at the Austin Film Fest.

My favorite directors are: Steven Soderbergh, Wes Anderson, Stanley Kubrick, Richard Linklater, David Mamet, David Cronenberg, Lars Von Trier, Jim Jarmusch, Paul Thomas Anderson, Scorsese, Coppola, Lynch, etc.

My favorite authors are Hemingway, Malcolm Gladwell, Michael Lewis, Kerouac, Anthony Bourdain, Stephen Dubner, and Chuck Palahniuck

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have skydived and bungie jumped multiple times, and endure triathlons, but if I had to choose one thing it would be that I raised $3000 to help restock a New Orleans public library that I used to go to as a child that was destroyed in 2005 in Hurricane Katrina, but it is now back up and running again!
