Hi! I'm Steven, from Canada. I've actually been part of the couchsurfing community since 2014, when my roommate and I started accepting couchsurfers; however, I have never been the account holder, so here I am!

I'm a lifelong learner and people person, and I've recently graduated with a business degree. This means I am leaving behind my metalworking job in the skilled trades, and embarking on a hunt for a new career. I've taken advantage of this transition to travel as I never have before - I'm enjoying my first round-the-world trip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here because I love hosting; it's so awesome to have interesting people from around the world come to you - traveling without traveling!

I'm also here because accomodation in Europe is PRICY! I'd much rather spend that money on wine and food to share with my newfound friends.

I hitch-hiked across most of the USA (Port Angeles to Detroit) with no money in 2014. It's been too long since I did something crazy like that :).

I'm a writer, and a grammar nerd, so I'm happy to help edit any english writing you may be doing. I'm also happy to help with spoken grammar.

I'm also an amateur bicycle and car mechanic, so I may be able to share skills there.

I can cook a few recipes well, and know the secret art of sourdough bread. Come visit and I'll give you some starter!
