Overview
About Me
American from New York. Worked in education and development in rural Uganda for the past 3 years, teaching mathematics, teaching methodology, and basic computer skills at Kampala University Primary Teacher's College. Currently starting a non-profit/NGO providing free educational opportunities for students and communities in rural Uganda via video based learning.
Have some pretty ridiculous stories from my time in East Africa:
• Finished last in a marathon in Rwanda after running the wrong direction for ten minutes.
• 10+ burglary/theft/kidnapping attempts in 2015. One in which the burglar smashed a hole though my brick wall with a sledgehammer.
• Dragged behind a speeding motorcycle defending myself after someone tried to steal my laptop.
• Gotten surgery done at a mall in East Africa for $80. Took video selfie during procedure.
