About Me

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by :) My name is Steve and I love life like crazy. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York and lived in Orlando, Florida for about 3 years before I started traveling full-time in April 2017.

I'm a photographer/videographer/vlogger on a mission to explore this beautiful planet. I share my experiences on social media with hopes of inspiring others to travel and experience life in an exciting way.

If you're interested, you can check out my YouTube channel to see my videos:

I'm also pretty active on Instagram so feel free to connect with me: @steveyalo

I think Couchsurfing is such an awesome platform to connect people interested in travel. I've met some incredible people here and I've made some videos that have been featured on Couchsurfing's social media channels: https://www.facebook.com/couchsurfing/videos/10155475105347852/

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is not achieved through material possessions. It's more about collecting moments, not objects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet interesting people. Whether it be through surfing or hosting or hangouts, I think this is such a great way to connect people interested in travel and learning about other places, cultures, and experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled across Europe for a week with no money - using only cans of Red Bull as currency to barter for food, transportation, and accommodation. It was part of a challenge hosted by Red Bull and Contiki called "Can You Make It?"

This crazy event had a huge impact on my life and is one of the main influences as to why I travel so much now. If you're interested in hearing more, I'm happy to share more stories about this when we meet!
