Have spent my whole life in NZ, have traveled practically everywhere there is to go in NZ but have never been outside the country before. Hoping to change that at the end of this year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Spent the last year hosting some really cool people, now hoping to take advantage of some other's couches now.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have had some cool people stay with us, has been fun learning from other cultures and nationalities. And has been fun doing some of the touristy stuff with cool people that I have never gotten round to doing myself as a local.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Pretty much everything, think I have watched nearly everything in the top 250 IMDB movies. Has to be either really good i.e. Godfather, The Good the Bad and the Ugly, Star Wars, or really bad i.e. Troll 2, The Room, Poolboy 2: Drowning out the Fury

Music: Most everything, a few choice examples, Sufjan Stevens, Akron Family, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Beastie Boys, The Roots, Dead Kennedys, Battles, Devo, Beatles, Who, Ween, Jay-z and Kanye, Justice, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Flaming Lips. Some Kiwi music you should definitely listen to is Lawrence Arabia, Liam Finn, Connan Mockasin and Pheonix Foundation.

Books: Tolkien, Assimov, Philip K Dick, Douglas Adams, am going to have to read Game of Thrones now too. I read alot of comic books too, Superman, Spiderman, Batman, all that good stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably one of the bands I've been lucky to see, Sufjan Stevens, Flaming Lips, Gorillaz and Ween have all been things I will remember forever. Dan Deacon playing in the middle of an empty swimming pool at a little music fest called Camp a Low Hum was pretty awesome. Not too much yet travel wise, although Cathedral Cove in Coromandel, NZ, at the height of summer, is one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
