Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m not a fan of destination vacations where you stay in hotels and go sightseeing with other tourists. I love experiencing cultures, people, and new & different perspectives.
I like meeting the locals and seeing the places they like to hang out and spend their time. Developing new relationships and learning from others while creating amazing new memories for everyone!

Music, Movies, and Books

You'll catch me listening to anything n’ everything but my heart lies with Americana, Blues, and Soul.
On the movie front, it goes anywhere from the likes of Fear & Loathing, Almost Famous, Into the Wild, to the laughs of Anchorman, Big Lebowski and, of course, Ghostbusters. I’m now at a point where I just want some originality in the writing.
My reading time goes to Vonnegut, Kerouac and Twain but really, anything I can get my hands on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driven my motorcycle, Silver, on a nearly 12,000 mile solo ride around the U.S., visiting all 4 corner states (CA, FL, ME, WA) and Canada. All of it was to prove to my students the kindness and beauty that exists in the world. That experience was pretty cool.
