I'm pretty young, but old enough to know that the way I think today is not necessarily the way I will think tomorrow. So here are my current operating rules

I love the outdoors and hiking. The wilderness humbles in a special sort of way that no other environment does. I like climbing trees, reading books, riding my bike and busting out songs on the ukulele. I'm also very much a nerd in the sense that I really dig learning. History, philosophy, and sociology tend to be the main things, but I'm also a sucker for things like Astronomy and Geology.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

While working on the Estern side of the Cascades Mountain Range in Wenatchee National Forest there was a day we summited a ridge just West of Lake Augusta. From the top, we could see multipl glacial valleys, and the gigantic mass that is Mt. Rainer off in the distance. Never before I had dropped to my knees and wept for the beauty I saw in front of me. I did that day, and later, on the same ridge, we were caught in a lightning storm. I slept well that night.
