Overview
About Me
I am inquisitive about all aspects of life, and really enjoy meeting people from all different backgrounds and hearing about others cultural upbringing.
I work hard to meet my goals, some of which are harder than others, but the outcome is well worth it!
I studied Environmental Geography in University and have really enjoyed my time and the degree. It has made me realise how lucky I am to have made so many friends along the way and their support through challenging times in my life has enabled me to grow and to become stronger.
Age is not a barrier to me, someone in their 70's is no different to someone my age. I like to gain knowledge and wisdom from people who have had more experiences than me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend recommended I should try this out rather than booking into a hotel and seems to be such a good way to experience and meet people from all backgrounds!
I love travelling around Europe, and even though I have done America and South America, Asia is a place I would love to try out.
After hearing from others about their experiences Couchsurfing appears to be the best way to connect with people from different backgrounds on a deeper level as you end up being accepted into their private environment.
It has always fascinated me how warm and welcoming people are- and as people in the past have helped me out during difficult times- this is the best way to return the favour and I would love to help where I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Bob Marley, Sigala, Walk the Moon, The Lumineers, Billy Ocean, Bon Jovi and some Michael Jackson
Movies: Harry Potter, Saving Private Ryan, Up, Cars, Con Air, The Green Mile, Guardians of the Galaxy
Famous quotes from Mandela and Gandhi which I find so inspiring are: "education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world" and "first they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win". These people have gone down in history for their strength and conviction during the most challenging times- I feel we as humans have the capacity to become stronger human beings. We can change the world...
Books: The Zoo Quest expeditions, The Power of Now, A New Earth, Blue Planet 2, The Principles of Quantum Mechanics, A Long Walk to Freedom.
Documentaries: Seconds from Disaster and Air Crash Investigations, Blue Planet 2, Planet Earth 1& 2
