About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Exploration, learning, fun, making friends
ABOUT ME
I love new experiences and to learn as much as possible, regardless of the usefulness of what is learned. I write and perform comedy in Los Angeles. I also have worked in the legal field for several years. I love living in L.A., which is loaded with live entertainment to suit any taste, beautiful beaches and hiking trails. I have lived here over 10 years and am eager to show people what is enjoyable about this city.
PHILOSOPHY
Give, and it will come back to you. Enjoy life. Follow through on your word. Don't waste time on things you don't enjoy or don't have to do. Also, don't waste time being frustrated over what you cannot change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy surfing on other people's couches and have finally hosted my first guest (hosting is not always an option for me). Even if I can't host you, I look forward to having a coffee with people who want to enjoy Los Angeles and help them see it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've stayed with Couchsurfing.com hosts in Puerto Rico and Portland, OR. Outside of the site, I have driven across the US several times, staying with friends and relatives. I have spent months, collectively, on friends' couches in NYC and San Francisco, and even done a little couch surfing in Japan and Zimbabwe. Personal companionship trumps a little physical discomfort for me most times.
Interests
Hiking, body surfing, history, films, reading (fiction, history), writing, going to live music shows.

Music, Movies, and Books
Synechdoche, Woody Allen (and not just the approved classics - some of the "lean years" stuff too), 3:10 to Yuma, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Red Dirt Marijuana, Marx Bros.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran into my brother on a street corner in Bangkok. The thing is, neither of us knew the other would be in that part of the world at that time.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yoga and meditation are two things I have explored a bit, and would like to delve more deeply into.
I can teach you what Smurfs are called in about a dozen languages, African history (my degree), and tell you about the strange world of Hollywood, as seen from the semi-fringe.
