ABOUT ME

I love travelling, particularly in Asia, and have lived in Japan and Seoul, South Korea. I've been to over 30 countries on 4 continents, and hope this number will keep growing. I like travelling overland, preferably by train, and dream of doing a big overland trip from London to Melbourne, Australia! I enjoy learning languages, and am currently trying to improve my Japanese and Korean, as well as learn Spanish.

At the moment I work as a magazine editor at an educational publishing company in London.

Apart from travel and photography I enjoy watching movies, reading books, socialising with friends, going to galleries, exhibitions, pubs, parks and markets, and watching baseball and football.

Favourite movies include Lost in Translation, the Godfather, Chungking Express, Linda Linda, Moonrise Kingdom. I try to see as many new movies as possible.

Favourite books include On the Road, Name of the Rose, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Death and the Penguin, and most books by Haruki Murakami and Paul Theroux. And George RR Martin.
