About Me
Hello,
In addition to my profile information Id like to share that I strive to be progressive, inclusive, non judgmental and to contribute positively.
l'm passionate about the work I do/working with kids, I'm committed to personal growth and learning. I love love love connecting new people and socializing, but I'm also introverted, so I'm not always super chatty. I'm sensitive :) I'm sober, and have been for 11 years, it a lifestyle and a personal choice, so being around drinking does not bother me. I'm 420 friendly (I just don't smoke) I love pets :) I'm from Napa originally, I lived in Vallejo for a few years.
I'm spend most of my time working, doing yoga, going to AA meetings, spending time with friends & family, and resting & recovering in my free time. :-P
I'm not sure what else to put here, but feel free to ask me anything. I value the practice of good communication... as one of my very best friends teaches "communication is lubrication" - Antonia Landels, Health Educator for PP Napa
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couch surfing because I've signed myself up for an intensive 200 hr. yoga and mindfulness training for educators! The training will be hosted in the city next month. This is the first thing of this nature I have ever done, I'm very excited, but also pretty nervous. The training is 16 long consecutive days, so I need to find a place to stay out that way for the evenings, to help me be most successful. Also, in the spirit of trying new things and stepping outside of my comfort zone, couch surfing sounds pretty exciting! I don't have expectations, so no pressure, but making new friends and connections by temporarily sharing living space sounds like it could be amazing! :)
Music, Movies, and Books
Music is my best medicine, so I love many different genres...I love reggae, jazzy, bluesy, stuff you can sing along with, some electronic...I'm really into stuff with a slower tempo and deep beats of any genera.
Movies, I love comedy, romcom, fantasy, horror and drama :-P
I'm not much of an avid reader, but im currently reading "the courage to teach" and "The Yamas & Niyamas: Exploring Yoga's Ethical Practice" in preparation for my yoga training.
