Overview
About Me
I am a kind-hearted gentleman with a passion for art, music and creativity. I grew up with two sisters and attended French immersion education. I'm a musician and can play drums, bass and guitar. I also sing, and still love to sing in the shower!
I've worked as a bartender and can mix a variety of drinks. When it comes to drinking alcohol, I usually prefer a stout or dark ale.
I am part of a working rock band (The Safety Collective) that is hoping to make it big! We are similar in style to Weezer, Foo Fighters and early Green Day.
I play the trading card game, Magic: The Gathering competitively. As part of my trip through Europe I will be attending 3 large competitive events in three different countries (Poland, France, Netherlands)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm backpacking through Europe for the first time this spring. I would like to meet locals who can suggest places to go and spare a couch for a night. I'm willing to stay in hostels but I think it would be more fun to stay with locals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 14 years old I traversed a 2-strand rope bridge (one rope for your feet, one for your hands) across a gorge that was about 60 metres wide and 30 metres deep. I did have a helicopter harness attached to a cable above the bridge on, but I managed not to fall, and was forced to look down in order to cross the bridge. You have to lean forward a bit to keep your balance.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about a number of things about Canada. I can also share insight on music theory, and know a fair bit of music history.
I am looking to learn as much as I can about every place that I visit, and am particularly interested in cultural aspects. I delight in visiting new cities, small or large and meeting unique individuals.
We could share in a bicycle ride around the city. I'm also looking to see & hear independent bands of various genres. I also enjoy theathre and would be happy to take in a play.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook for hosts, including recipes that are considered Canadian cuisine. I used to be vegetarian and can still cook a few delicious veggie dishes.
I am unfortunately unable to bring my guitar with me, however, if one is provided I am happy to perform for hosts.
I am fond of board games including Chess, Go, Scrabble and Risk.
