Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lately, I'm curious about things. I had been at a good job for 4 years, lived in an exciting city full of endless possibilities, and surrounded myself with good friends who mean the world to me. But deep inside there was something missing, and I wasn't sure what it was. I didn't love working a desk job, or having only 2 hours of sunlight to enjoy. I love climbing, camping, hiking, painting, drawing. I want to do more of those things.

Now, I'm on an indefinite road trip around the US. I've already been to Bend and Portland in Oregon and I'm heading up the coast toward Squamish, BC. I'm living out of my Honda Element, climbing endlessly, meeting people, enjoying the solitude, embracing new friends, and say yes to things.

I hope I can share kindness with others, and learn to embrace hospitality.

I'm a creative spirit, and I love to share with others. I'm learning as I travel that it's just as important to receive as it is to give. I've been so blessed from strangers taking me in and sharing a meal with me, I can only hope to do the same for others.
