About Me

ABOUT ME

Hey guys! I love to travel and just the idea of being able to indulge in new cultural experiences. Growing up in Canada, I've always enjoyed the outdoors, and have spent quite a bit of time hiking, camping, canoeing, skiing and exploring the outback. I much rather be trecking through the mountains, instead of being inside *even if the weather gets down to -45 :) I consider myself laid back, but adventurous, down to earth person. My friends always crack jokes about my hippy lifestyle. So yes, I am a little bit of a hippy so to speak! This year I decided to put school on hold and instead, travel abroad. I have I have been working as a forest firefighter for the past two seasons. I am currently living in Havelock North with my flat mate.

PHILOSOPHY

Traveling-- leaves you speechless, then turns you into a story teller

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly enjoy alternative rock such as Kings of Leon, Mumford and Sons, Coldplay, The Killers, Black Keys, Wild Feathers and Lumineers..ect I'm open to all types of music as well! I like going to local live music events on weekends, while also having a few beers too :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was traveling in Europe, I decided to flip a coin. At this point in my travels, I was situated in Hamburg, Germany. If the coin landed Heads Side up, I was going North. But if the coin landed Tails side up, I was going South. (Canadian 25 cents) I ended up in Denmark.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to put a minnow on a hook, how to prepare whole organic food and expose you to the true great Canadian North. I would love to learn about your culture and of coarse the language! We can share epic dinner creations, conversation and stories!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some pretty embarrassing stories...

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United States
