About Me

Kia Ora!

Love the surf and snow, videography and new places to go.

Am now based in Dublin and am keen to hit the Wild Atlantic West Coast whenever I can to catch some waves.

I was living in China for 18 months and it was pretty sweet. I taught English at EF (English First). Not only is teaching Chinese kids one of the coolest jobs, I got a lot of time to explore China and experience its culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who'll decide where to go.

For 25 years I stayed in a small 3 bedroom place with two brothers and my parents. Never had the chance to host. Now that I have a 2 bedroom apartment to myself I thought why not open my home, heart and pantry to guests looking for a place to stay.

Interests

Love the outdoors and being spontaneous. Inspired by mother nature. Love music. The small things in life. Sports fanatic. Rugby, Cricket, Football, Surfing, Diving, Pool, Table Tennis, Fishing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to China to teach english was more then just a job. It was a chance to break the norm from what all my friends and university graduates were doing, it was the freedom to make MY first LIFE decision. Leaving everything behind felt like I was born again and starting a new life. Like living in the womb of New Zealand and feeding on all its nutrients before she let me go out into the big wide world - metaphorically speaking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I studied the media and television production at university. Majored in film and TV so like to film/direct and edit videos. You can check out some of the stuff I have made in the links below;
