About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Observing at the IRAM 30m radio telescope on Pico Veleta. I am enjoying the snow and winter but excited about exploring Granada with wonderful people.
ABOUT ME
I am 29 years old and I am a graduate student finishing my phd in astronomy. School takes up most of my time but I will be graduated in the spring of 2012. I am a fun laid back person and I love to meet new people. I am an open book and will happily share with anyone.
I have never been to Europe before and have had less than a week to plan so I am flying by the seat of my pants! I do know some Spanish but I have not spoken it in a long time. So it will be a rough start but I know I will pick it up pretty quickly. So far I have been very bad at communicating but I am remembering a lot of words (now to remember what they mean).
PHILOSOPHY
Life is to be lived with good people around you. You work hard and play hard and meet new people in between.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At astronomy camp, I saw a meteor become brighter than the full moon and land in Arizona. This was at the 50th anniversary of the 90 inch telescope we were using to view the sky with our eyes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach astronomy, I can teach about fish keeping and the chemistry of aquaria, I can tell you how a camera works but I would love to learn more about taking my pictures to the next level.
