I'm a dedicated student and haven't had much of a chance so far to get out and explore the world due to demands of school. This will be my first time leaving the country and I'm very excited to see what I can learn and who I can meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing in hopes to gain a locals perspective of Canada, meet new people, and save on travel cost.

Interests

I am mostly interested in connecting with people, and healing and growing. As a teacher and counselor, this is my art form and means of creative expression. I am also passionate about nature, ecology, and physical activity.

One of my favorite movies is I <3 Huckabees, anything quirky and thought-provoking or educational.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting my degrees has required so much self-discipline and perseverance. I do it because I want to make a difference in the education system of the U.S. and the healing of minds. This year I impressed myself by making it through my first year as a teacher and my first year of grad school. I turned a group of youngsters into critically thinking, problem-solvers, and built character, and taught kindness and respect.

What I Can Share with Hosts

my friend who will be traveling with me is a musician, music teacher, and performance artist. I am just a quirky, down-to-earth, but passionate person. I'm not sure what I can share but good conversation, good company and help with house chores?
