About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to spend my way through the global recession, expand my mind by reading more books, take interesting pictures of the world and be creative.
ABOUT ME
I have lived in England most of my life.
I studied English Literature and History at Leicester Uni.
I mainly prefer the more modern stuff in both subjects.
I have taught English in Japan and China and enjoy the Far East.
I enjoy travelling and have been to France, Belgium, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Morocco, Japan and China.
I want to go to more places and enjoy photography.
I enjoy, music, film, photaography, modern art and football.
PHILOSOPHY
Man this is a deep question to be answering on a Monday morning.
I suppose in life you are always learning. I think it's getting a balnce between the temporal (day-to-day) and the eternal (the hereafter).
There's no on 7 billion people on this planet and we only have a finite span of life. No one knows how long they've got so you've got to try and make the most of each day.
Some days can seem banal and pointless and other you seem to squeeze the very marrow out of life.
I think it's important to respect others and treat them as you would wish to be treated.
The world can be a crazy place and it's better to have regretted doing something rather than regretting not doing something.
I believe in God so I'm trying to learn more about Him and develop my relationship with Him. I'm not into dead religion (i.e trying to earn favour through works) as I believe God has forgiven us so that we can live a life of freedom.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am fairly new to the Couch Surfing experience having been introduced to it by friends so am at the stage of figuring out how it works.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am waiting to do my first Couch Surf so I'll let you know once it's happened.
Interests
One of my main interests is music. I love seeing live music and going to festivals in the summer. I have a wide-ranging taste in music and like most stuff that could be called alternative. I tend to have phases of listening to certain types of music and dropping in and out of genres. The great thing about music is that there's alawys new stuff to discover and something to suit every mood and occasion.
