I'd say the thing that most defines me is a love for travel. I want to see the whole world, and as much of it as possible from the seat of a motorbike. I'm adventurous, a bit of a risk taker (a few would say...) kind hearted, practical, hard working, (that's when I actually am working...) but I think that mostly i just like to enjoy life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing a few years ago on a trip around Europe and then never used it! I've been lucky enough to stay with a lot of friends, or friends of friends who have welcomed me in to their homes, and it has always been such a great way to get to know the place I am staying.
Me and my friend Will are on a road trip from Alaska to Argentina, so there are so many different places to visit and things to see and do, and if there's a chance to do that with the help of the Couchsurfing community then i'm in! we are blogging about our trip, it is called whichwayissouth.com for a bit more insight to the trip.

Interests

I guess i've already mentioned motorbikes and travel. I love movies (I wouldn't call myself a film nerd... but i am probably close...!)
I'm very sociable, and have been lucky enough to work in a very sociable job for a long time.
I love great food and drink, and I would love to be able to make great food... but I guess that is one of the problems with working in the restaurant business and always having chefs around to cook for you. I'll learn one day...

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very eclectic musical taste. My playlists have everything from classical to RnB, to movie soundtracks. I guess I was brought up on 'real' music though... with guitars and drums, so i guess my default is rock in general.
I love films. All of them. But I guess particularly I love a good story. I will suffer even the worst film to the end. But the films that I love; I can watch again and again. If I had to name a few, i'd say Leon, Spy Game, Lord of the Rings, but really there are way too many!
I have never read as much as I should. I recently read the complete Sherlock Holmes works which I loved. I am currently reading The Power of The Dog by Don Winslow...(you know...when in Mexico...)
