ABOUT ME
On impulse in August 2013 i left my comfy steady life in Russia and moved to Bogotá, Colombia to volunteer with AIESEC. I was there around 7 months working and living with a host family, spending all my free time, energy and money on exploring new country, culture and food. Then moved to South-East Asia for 2 more months. And finally i am in Europe, ready to start my master degree with Erasmus Mundus on Maritime Spatial Planning.
I love visiting new countries, exploring foreign cultures, learning and... trying new food! Once i started travelling, i can't stop, it´s like a drug to me now.
Sometimes i spend days at home without going outside just studying, watching sitcoms and chatting
I can drink (and i often do) a dozen of tea cups a day
I enjoy watching old black and white movies and sitcoms (I love Lucy!)
I was able to chat with a person for more than 8 hours uninterruptedly
I love "Harry Potter", have read all the books 3 times - in Russian, English and Spanish languages
I've got a sweet tooth, so you know how to win me over ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Happiness only real when shared.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When i host i like spending time with the surfer. If i accept your request it means i'm really interested in getting to know you, hearing your crazy travel stories, learning your culture and have free time to show you around. I feel responsible for my surfer and will try to make your stay with me comfy and memorable.
When i surf i also like hanging out with my host and getting to know locals, their lifestyle, traditions, culture. Being a surfer does NOT mean to me just a free sleep-over, it's this interweaving that matters. Though i surely understand if you don't have time to show me around.
If you contact me just to hang out in the city, i can bring you to some great places to eat and drink. Pizza, sushi, pasta, you name it :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My CS experience has been more than pleasant so far, I've met so many great people! Once i hosted a french girl who was biking around the Black Sea. She was so inspiring that i ended up biking with her till the next city where we stayed together with another host. My first host in Ankara was amazing and absolutely made my stay there. In Colombia i was planning a one-week trip, contacted a host at the city where i was going to stay only one day and at the end he joined me and we travelled that week together by his motorbike. And that´s only small part of great stories!
