About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To picture myself on a boat on a river with tangerine trees and marmalade skies

ABOUT ME

Music fiend American, in Switzerland for the last 13 years. Late 40s Warner Bros & Tex Avery cartoons are genius and Jimi Hendrix is proof that God exists. I‘m a sucker for classic guitars and a turquoise ‘61 Chevy Impala. Could often use a clue, and could really use a new iPod. I want to seek and celebrate the good in people. I like cats, but I really like dogs. I miss my friends and family in the USA, but no success so far convincing them all to move to Switzerland. I train for and run marathons sometimes (more fun than you think!). I believe humans are built to run. I‘m part of the tiny control group NOT on Facebook. My most addictive drugs are coffee and the internet. Terribly frightened of heights and by the movie The Shining but not of my own death. I should read books more often. I kinda hate clever sarcasm like I kinda hate water, a good night‘s sleep and the sun.

PHILOSOPHY

- The mainstream is often hard to avoid, but let's give it a try sometimes, yeah?
- Give without expectation, accept without feeling obligation
- Feed your soul regularly with music
- The most important time of your life is this very instant
- Without imagination, curiosity and the willingness to try something new, you're as good as dead
- Fresh grated parmesan cheese makes everything better
- Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy vinyl records, cool shoes, coffee ice cream and plane tickets and that ain't bad
- John Lennon wasn't totally right when he said ““All you need is love,“ but he wasn't totally wrong, either

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saw My Bloody Valentine open for Dinosaur Jr. in 1992. Amazingly, I can still hear! Oh and I saw Iggy Pop in the Newark airport. Ran the New York Marathon: wow.

The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV were Fred and Wilma Flintstone.

The last legal execution of a witch was in 1782 in Switzerland.
