About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Counting legs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First years of traveling through Germany by bicycle I did use the "know-a-friend-who-knows-a-friend"-system. Worked good so far. In summer 2014 I graduated and moved to Norway for a year. Everything became more and more international, so a good friend introduced me to Couchsurfing.

I surfed the first time, when I've been on a two month hitchhiking trip through the north of Norway, Sweden and Finland in the following summer. It changend my way of traveling and being with people from the ground up.
Couchsurfing is a fantastic way to connect people from all over the world, to become friends with each other, restoring trust in mankind, sharing experiences and lifestyles. People are amazing and Couchsurfing is a good way to bring them together.

Interests

If you're up for it, we can borrow a second bicycle from my flatmate and do a nice tour through the Speckgürtel of Berlin (which is surprisingly green) and around some of the lakes in Brandenburg.
I'm always grateful for new bicycle touring ideas and help along the run.
If your not up for bicycling, but still want to escape the city, we can go hiking. I can show you a few nice fields and forests around Berlin in which we can walk for a couple of hours and find a few cool bugs along the way.
Berlin has some unexpected nice nature and the area of Brandenburg might not be the most spectacular, but it's a nice, green and quiet one.

Tarantulas are probably one of my favourite animals. After I started to keep and breed Phasmidae (and proved to my flatmates that no animal would escape to their rooms) I got my first tarantula in 2020 - and quite a few more in the following years.
Now I am very deep into the hobby of keeping these amazing spiders and designing bioactive terrariums for them.

Always up for Groundhopping and going to sport events especially lower league football. Feels like a guilty pleasure to me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I usually get very exited about watching and photographing certain animal species the first time.
You know there are Hoopoes (Wiederhopf) living in and around Berlin? Last encounter that still fascinates me was a moose I met just after leaving my tent early morning in Finsness, Norway and a finding a few wasp spiders in East Berlin.
