Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am currently on a mission to become whimsical.
ABOUT ME
I have been noted to be a smart mouth as well as a smart ass. The only difference between the two is the second one means my job is in jeopardy. Meeting people is always a good time and I am a freak for traveling. Lived in Ireland for a year as a student/bar keep/bar fly. Spent a year in Cali doing amateur construction and professional slacking off. As well as 2 years in MN as a student, snowboarding instructor, and then counselor.
PHILOSOPHY
If nothing goes wrong, it cannot be called an adventure.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Getting together with other surfers for activities and meetings. Hosting when I'm home and camping when I'm away. I love surfing but camping tends to win out for me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have slept on the couches of strangers before and without the help of CS but it would be nice to have a little more of a plan when I do such things. Also I have found people I did not know sleeping on my couch and I would like some advanced notice via an internet site.
Interests
World domination and all the trimmings that come with it. Sharks with laser beams attached to their heads and assorted henchmen. I hope some day to grow my evil empire, only to be struck down by my apprentice who has nefarious plans all their own. Additionally hiking and listening to live music can be a good time too. Also I am a fan of the drink, everything from coffee to whiskey and sometimes both together.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies are always good, if it's something I have not seen then it is worth watching. Recently re-watched "The Birdcage" with a surfer and we about died laughing.
Music choices change from day to day but I keep a small record collection of some personal favorites.
I enjoy reading but I wish I had more time for it. I recently read a couple of Nick Offerman's books and that enchanting man has convinced me to try woodworking.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to Easter Mass presented by the Pope (I think that's pretty good for a guy who identifies as a Pagan).
Teach, Learn, Share
When going to an area with a culture that is vastly different from your own it is a good idea to bring a gift and seek the advice of locals. This is often done best in a bar with the gift of drink and gab while the advice is of lies and sedition.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A bar tab and tall tales.
