Hello! My name is Stina and I am a Swedish Kiwi who loves to travel, share stories and explore nature. I grew up in the Bay of Plenty region of New Zealand, but have been living for the past 10 years in Sweden all over the country from north to south, exploring my roots in Scandinavia as well as the British Isles.

I am a storyteller, both writing, collecting and telling stories, legends and fairy tales for all ages. I love sharing stories while travelling and learning about the mythology of different cultures. At the moment I am working on completing a degree in ethnology, as well as studying other subjects in folklore, history and culture. When not studying and writing I love to be outdoors as much as possible, going for long hikes, exploring nature and looking for ancient trees.

As a traveller I love to travel slowly, taking time to truly get to know one place at a time and discovering small, remote places, learning about the everyday life. I am basically curious about almost everything but I am especially interested in nature, stories, art, music, books and good coffee. I love coffee!

Couchsurfing is new for me but many friends have recommended it so I am looking forward to trying it out for myself!

I cannot host couchsurfers at the moment since I don't have a place of my own but I hope to be a host sometime in the future when possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I made my own tipi and lived in it for one summer in the woods. My tipi is my summer home and also a space for storytelling gatherings round the fire. I love living close to nature!
