About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To do something each day that makes it a day I will remember.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy going, talkative, curious and a generally friendly (or so they say). I like to try new things and different ways. Particularly interested in art and culture and love to try new food.

PHILOSOPHY

Live like you mean it.
(Which also happens to be the slogan for the state of Wisconsin.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel I see couch surfing as my first and best option. You can not truly dig a place without digging its people! At home I'll be delighted to host you when I am able to do so in a good way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed a lovely couple in Gaborone, Botswana for a couple of weeks in 2010 and surfed all two CS-members on Sao Tome & Principe some years later. Also met up with some surfers in Istanbul and most recently couch surfed in Brattleboro, VT and met up with a member in NYC. Hosted some lovely people when I lived in a flat share. Now, unfortunately, my place is too small.

Interests

Art, nature, people, food, psychology, philosophy and whatever feels interesting at the moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

My preferences are, honestly, completely random and tend to be very mood-related. I love literature, movies and music in general and I am, from time to time, a bit disappointed in myself for not indulging more in these pleasures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking on the great wall of China in the middle of the winter. Seeing the Victoria falls. Exploring an abandoned factory in Warsaw. Visiting Sao Tome - such a special country!

Teach, Learn, Share

In general I enjoy deep conversations regardless the subject. I can't think of one specific skill I could teach but I'm always willing to help out with the knowledge and skills I've got. When travelling I'm always interested in the food culture and all kinds of artsy stuff. But most of all I'm interested in the people I meet along the way and the situations I randomly end up in.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Botswana, China, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Tanzania, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam
