ABOUT ME

I am a work in progress. I'm in love with an amazing person. My family rocks. They're some cool folks. My circle of friends are incredible. They're sassy, sweet, protective, adventurous, boozy, fierce, outspoken, political, and a whole host of other adjectives that will never do them justice. I'm a fan of animals. I have the fiercest most divaesque pug ever. I like the planet an awful lot. I have sincere hopes that it sticks around for awhile. I work for an agency that supports people with developmental disabilities. I would not be the person that I am today without them. I firmly believe that I've learned more from people with disabilities than any college professor I've ever had. Person first language is the key! I'm afraid of cotton balls. They freak me out. I try to eat gluten free. I don't always succeed. I like to sing but I do it very badly. I'm working on becoming more adventurous. Because I work for a non-profit agency I am perpetually broke. I recently quit smoking. I'm trying not to be cranky about that. I'm slightly addicted to reality tv much to the chagrin of my boyfriend. I identify as queer even though labels irritate me. I am a girly-girl at heart.
