About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet the world on my couch or come to visit you on yours.
ABOUT ME
My name is Anika, 31 yo and I am a medical doctor. I love arts and music, but above all I like being outdoors. During my freetime I enjoy traveling and meeting all sorts of interesting new people. I've been to many different places all over Europe, traveled to the USA, through Southeast Asia, China, Russi and India, but still can't get enough. If I had to describe myself I would say that sometimes I am a little restless wanting do and see (to many) things, but for most of the time I am just curious to learn about people, their ideas and where they come from.
At the moment I am living and working in Leipzig.
PHILOSOPHY
Live every moment in life the best and share that experience with others or in the sense of Monsieur Ibrahim: 'What you give is yours to keep; what you keep is lost forever!'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been on CS for a while now, however I haven't been very active over the last couple of years, but now that I have reactivated and fixed my account I am going to become more active again.
Looking back - since I've joined CS, I've surfed some couches and all I can say is, that it makes traveling a completly new experience. I've never appreciated any city, country and it's people as much as I did with CS.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Got the chance to meet great people!
Interests
Music (I play the flute and I am eager to learn more instruments - also tried out the clarinet and guitar, however wasn't very succesful, but also like to listen to or sing along with music), art, reading, traveling (of course), I love being outdoors riding my bike, playing all sorts of outdoor games, swimming and many more.
Music, Movies, and Books
Atonement (I loved McEvan's book as well as the movie), Awakenings, I really liked The Memory Keepers Daughter by Edwards, also loved Nick Hornby 'A Long Way Down'.
