ABOUT ME

Back from a one-year-trip around the world I am currently trying to adapt to the rythm of "normal" life again...still unsure where my search will lead me...but in the end it's all part of the adventure that is life.

Intereses

Movies (see below), Snowboarding, Scuba diving, I recently rediscovered the game of crocket for myself..perfect on a lazy sunday afternoon and jut got a little into rock climbing, love going out for drinks at night... and of course I'm also really interested in politics as it is part of my job

Movies - All Wes Anderson movies from Rushmore to Darjeeling Limited, Miyazaki's animated films like Spirited Away, Werner Herzog's Aguirre, Juno, Little Miss Sunshine, 80s classics like Teen Wolf or Caddyshack, Cuban films (which I wrote my thesis on)

TV shows - Lost, Heroes, Scrubs, Seinfeld, How I met your mother

Books - Everything by T.C. Boyle, Tom Robbins, Jasper Fforde...extraordinary Swiss author Martin Suter and the Austrians Daniel Glattauer and Daniel Kehlmann...also enjoyed Vargas Llosas "Fiesta del chivo" and Garcia Márquez's "Cien anos de soledad"....although it was a hard fight

Music - Let's see: Eddie Vedder, Bon Iver, Seu Jorge, Bright Eyes, Austrian sensation Soap&Skin, The Good, the Band and the Queen, Art Brut, Arctic Monkeys, Clap your hands say yeah, Beasty Boys, Björk, Hip hop stuff like Talib Kweli, Loop Troop, Atmosphere, Sage Francis, Gang Starr. And doing karaoke I am really into (and often made fun of because of that) old 80s and early 90s pop ballads ranging from Whitney Houston to Extreme's More than Words (I am not saying I sing them well)
