Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Move to Indiana and find an excellent career.
ABOUT ME
I'm a fun easy-going guy, I love a good laugh and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty to help someone. In general I'm kind of lazy, but when I set my mind to something, I become pretty unstoppable. I also really love french fries.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a rationalist, though in my developing years I was something of a Marxist. I've come to accept that some form of spirituality improves most peoples' lives, though I have none myself. I believe that there is no real purpose in our existence but we should still make the best of consciousness.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently planning a cross-country road trip. I'm hoping to meet some great people and see CouchSurfing from the Surfer perspective. Then when I settle down, I hope to host people until I'm ready for my next great adventure.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Currently I have only heard about what a great opportunity it presents!
Centres d'intérêt
Engineering! I love a really challenging design problem, I like to find solutions that seem completely laughable on the surface but end up working flawlessly.
I'm also a big sucker for natural beauty; a nice sunset will improve my mood no matter what.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I. LOVE. MOVIES. I like dramas and action and thrillers, and adventure. I don't care for rom-coms or anything overly cliche.
I have some limited music tastes; a lot of alternative rock, some indie-rock, classic rock, 80s pop/rock, jazz, classical.
I read a wide range of things, I like a lot of classical literature (especially Russian greats like Dostoyevsky and Nabokov), I enjoy fantasy, some sci-fi. There is some modern fiction I like. I love Harry Potter.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
The first time I went to the Grand Canyon as a kid. I simply could not wrap my head around the vastness of it. The fact that I could walk and walk and walk and the backdrop wouldn't perceivably change was beyond me. The scale was just impossible.
Also when I visited New Hampshire for the first time. I was in a completely new place, thousands of miles from home, and yet it was just the same as everywhere. I realized then (and have since reflected) that everywhere is the same as everywhere, with just some minor differences like vegetation and history. Otherwise the same kinds of people doing the same kinds of things in the same kinds of settings are everywhere.
