About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Teach people that skin cancer is caused by too much phosphorous in the diet not just sun exposure!
ABOUT ME
I believe in the power of the human mind. I love the exchanging of learning and educating. Happiness comes from within, and with sharing. I love the sun and am a complete and total sun worshipper.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't Panic... from 3 flat tires in 8 months, to owning my own The Money Pit style home, I have taken on Douglas Adam's philosophy of "Don't Panic!" I am generally happy and easygoing. I certainly don't believe everything I hear/see, and have learned a long time ago (the hard way) that logic and reason should never replace gut instincts
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now unfortunately I cannot host, as I am staying with family after 1.5 years of travel, but intend to once I start working full-time and get my own place (I am hoping around mid-June 2012). In the meantime I can offer tips/travel advice for those out places I have been or stories, or possibly coffee/rides. I have surfed on couches though, including ones not listed on cs, though I try to educate those I meet about this wonderful network!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have couch surfed briefly on Waiheke Island in New Zealand. I am very grateful and loved the experience. I also dated a guy who hosted, and met interesting people that way, so just love the idea that a whole community can be revolved around this simple act of kindness. I also met some other great people, including one of my best friends (Joey Walter) via going to meetings.
Interests
From my photo, you can probably tell I am interested in falconry, and in fact had my apprentice liscence. After the year however I wound up traveling, so gave it up for now. Although I do have a fascination with birds, I love all animals. I love the outdoors, especially horseback riding. I also love my degree as I love all things conservation. I am currently working an amazing profession that I started recently training dogs! Nothing better than a happy dog and his/her parent working together.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books, easier to do by author- love Douglas Adams, Daniel Quinn (mostly for The Holy), Marion Zimmer Bradley (when I was younger, but still love), Terry Pratchet, Neil Gaiman
Other Books - In Just a Couple of Days, Good Omens, Oryx and Crake, The Far Side, The Richest Man in Babylon, Book of Days (Journal of the Crusades)
Priorities, can you tell what I love most huh? Music has not been a big part of my life, I know pick your jaw up. Don't get me wrong I enjoy, it's just not the center of my essence or anything. Always nice in the background kind of thing for me. I enjoy good movies, like Avatar, Men who Stare at Goats, and any story that can make me laugh and cry and want to delve deeper into a subject and start conversation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't want to be generic and put skydiving, because it was amazing. However I'd have to say my whole road trip along the South Island of New Zealand with a French Canadian, Coralie. Also The Beach (Maya Beach) from the movie The Beach near Kho Phi Phi in Thailand. Seeing people change, and seeing changes in myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach falconry, as well as other care for all kinds of our furred and feathered companions. I know the basics of conservation, along with some GPS. I would like to know more, and always love exchanging, new ideas. I have beads, and would love to learn more about crafty things, patience necessary though, I am a messy craftwoman! lol I definitely want to keep working on my Spanish!
